About Cost Ripple
See where every dollar leads.
Small recurring decisions can create large financial effects over time. Cost Ripple makes those effects easier to see and understand.
Why a ripple?
A single payment barely registers. Repeat it for twenty or thirty years, add gradual price increases, and consider the growth that money could have earned elsewhere, and the outward rings become surprisingly wide. That expanding pattern is the ripple.
What Cost Ripple is not
- It is not a budgeting app and it does not track your accounts.
- It does not tell you what to cut. Trade-offs are yours to make.
- It does not promise investment returns — projections use assumptions you control.
How it works
Every figure comes from deterministic financial formulas that run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere. The methodology page explains each formula in plain English, with worked examples you can verify by hand.
Our tone
Spending money on things you enjoy is not a failure. Cost Ripple is built to inform decisions, not to create guilt. If seeing the number makes you keep the expense with more confidence, the tool has done its job.
